For my 51st birthday my beloved friend Birgit presented me with the beautiful acoustic Ibanez guitar her deceased husband had once played. To say I was flabbergasted and unworthy would be an understatement of the highest order. However she insisted and believed this grande instrument in the right hands. The crystal clear sound of the guitar plunged me into yet another musical universe and I found myself re-visiting the West-coast stylings of CSN and Neil Young. For the first time I extensively used different tunings, on this track one ofJohn Renbourn's, and yes, everything you play with said tuning sounds great. As the closing track of the album proper 'Say Goodnight' is all about time passing, getting old, and leaving the future to the younger. As easy as that.
